NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Construction management company Knoch Corporation announced today the completion of its construction project at the non-profit, faith-based Village of St. Edward. The organization unveiled its new Memory Care Assisted Living area Nov. 30th with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the 3125 Smith Rd. facility.
The memory care addition is roughly 30,000 square feet with 28 beds. The design is intended to give residents the feeling they are still at home, a sentiment that is accomplished with larger gathering areas (living area and courtyard garden) and an open kitchen to help foster a sense of community.
“This is not only an important project for the Village of St. Edward, but also Northeast Ohio,” said Chuck Fenske, vice president of marketing and business development – Knoch Corporation. “As the baby boomer generation continues to age, memory care facilities like this one are critical to the community. They ensure people suffering from dementia and other age-related illnesses get the special care they need.”
The Village of St. Edward at Fairlawn offers independent living, assisted living, memory care, and rehabilitation and nursing care living arrangements and services. Recognizing the need for high quality services for seniors, the community will provide seniors and their families a full continuum of care to address their changing needs. The Village of St. Edward will have three locations by 2018, the Fairlawn location and additional facilities in Wadsworth and Green.
