Knoch Corporation Honored with Award for Excellence in Construction
From Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Northern Ohio Chapter

NORTH CANTON, OH -- The Knoch Corporation received an Award for Excellence in Construction from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Northern Ohio Chapter on October 17 at a gala event held in Downtown Cleveland.

The Knoch Corporation, a North Canton-based construction manager and general contractor, won its award for the Uhrichsville Aquatic Park, Uhrichsville, Ohio in the category Other Construction with total construction costs between $2 to $100 million.

The water park opened in May 2008 after 8 months of construction.  Designed by Davis Architectural Group of Cambridge, Ohio, it features more than 18,000 square feet of swimming and water play attractions, 2 large 30’ high water slides, numerous other kiddie slides, and a 6,624 square foot bathhouse and concession facility.

The Northern Ohio Chapter of ABC awards Excellence in Construction Awards annually in a variety of construction projects from mega projects to specialty contracting projects.   This is the first Excellence in Construction Award from ABC for the Knoch Corporation; however, it has received several merit awards from ABC in previous years and several other awards from various professional organizations.
